Planting Lavender and Teaching Elect People!

This week we drove 45 minutes to Davenport and planted lavender for a couple hours for some members! It was awesome. Then we spent the day out there finding and teaching.

Another day, we drove to Ritzville, which is also 45 minutes from us, and taught a really cool family and spent time doing missionary work in the country. This family is incredible. The daughter who is 11 is a recent convert and the two parents are now learning about the gospel. To hear the daughter bear her testimony to her parents is so precious. The spirit was so strong in that lesson and I just felt so much love for their family as they are learning about how their family can exist beyond this life. And then they showed us their horses and now I really want to ride a horse.

But we spent some time in the country and learned about farm life. It seems like a cool lifestyle.

There were some days this week where we didn't have too much time to proselyte but God placed the prepared people right in front of us. It was crazy, the first couple people we talked to were interested and every time it's a miracle!

I love being a missionary and am not sure what it's going to be like when I'm not one. It's a foreign thought.

This is the family😁

Living Life More Abundantly With Jesus Christ

Hey, how's it going everyone? This has been a crazy time in my life. Right now I'm back in Cheney. I've been back for a transfer and a week-- back in an area I served in a year ago, which is absolutely crazy. I think I might have said that last time, but I am absolutely loving it. We have been on campus talking to so many people. And it has been blowing my mind how many young adults are willing to talk to you about Jesus Christ. It is so cool. They are so chill, and I just love learning about them and their experiences and just helping them realize how Jesus can absolutely change their life. And we're still trying to figure out the best approach to find out who's actually interested, because a lot of them will just say yes to say yes, but we're working on it. It's been pretty exciting just split contacting, talking to different people, and just getting to know them.

There were these two people playing Hacky Sack, and we were, like, "Hey, can we play?" And so we started playing Hacky Sack, and my companion is really good at it, so they were kind of awestruck. And then we somehow transferred it to the gospel, and one of them was an inactive member-- a convert of three years, and the other was, like, kind of down, honestly, to learn more. And so, it's kind of cool, kind of a cool interaction. We weren't able to start teaching them, but we did invite them to church, so hopefully we'll see them. We're in the YSA (Young Single Adult Ward), and we're also in the family ward, and it's just exciting. I'm learning a lot from the missionaries I'm around and from the people that we're talking to. I'm learning that if you have faith in Jesus Christ, you don't need to worry about what's gonna happen. All you need to do is try your best and he'll make it all work out, and that is such a powerful thought. So cool. And it's something that these college students in Cheney absolutely need because everyone's probably freaking out because it's college and they're what, 18? They have no idea what to do, and Jesus can help them. I'm excited.

There are a lot of cool things happening-- cool miracles. Today we got a phone call-- they left a voicemail because we were busy, but it said. "Hey, my name is Chris, and I'm a maintenance worker at this apartment complex, and there's a resident here that would love to hear about your church and hear about the gospel from the missionaries. Here's her number and her apartment. Have fun!" It was the coolest thing ever. And so, we're gonna go by and teach this person that a maintenance worker found! It's so cool. There are so many cool things happening-- we're just blessed to be a part of it.

Hope you all are doing well. Hope you're experiencing miracles and living life and living it more abundantly with Jesus Christ.

If you could pick out one thing you've learned from Jesus Christ recently, what would it be? Let me know-- in the comments below. We would love to hear. Love you all. Have a great rest your day and week. From Elder Dahl.
