Kind of a Tough One

This week has been odd.

My companion and another missionary in the house have been sick for a week so I've been on 7 days of exchanges pretty much which is crazy. Both companionships cover the same area so it actually works out pretty well.

We didn't see much success this week and we felt down about it for a couple days. I realize that it becomes hard for me when it doesn't feel like I'm helping anyone. But I've felt this before and I knew what to do. Connect with God! So I did everything I possibly could do to connect with Him. As I turned to Him I found this quote that really helped me out.

Do not misunderstand or devalue how important you are to your Father in Heaven. You are not an accidental by-product of nature, a cosmic orphan, or the result of matter plus time plus chance. Where there is design, there is a designer. Your life has meaning and purpose.

The ongoing Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ brings light and understanding regarding your divine identity. You are a beloved child of Heavenly Father. You are the subject matter of all those parables and teachings. God loves you so much that He sent His Son to heal, rescue, and redeem you.

Elder Alan T. Phillips
God Knows and Loves You

I invite you to send that quote to one person you think needs it today.

I've learned lasting purpose, meaning, and joy come only from one source. That is a relationship with God. It's so easy to forget sometimes though.

God sees you where you're at and loves you!
