Changing Our Natures

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing really well. I'm doing pretty well. This has been a pretty crazy week. This week, I left the office and my two companions, and I went back to Cheney, which is my second area that I served in, and I'm serving in the same area, and it is so cool. So cool to re-meet all the members that I was really close with. And I get to be with some new missionaries, I get to just have a blast. And it's been a really cool experience. We've seen some pretty exciting miracles so far. God places us in the spots we need to be at the right time, and things just line up when you are trying your best to serve him.

I'm really working on connecting with the people that I meet-- with the friends that we're teaching-- and really connecting with them and and helping them to realize how the gospel can bless their life. It's been pretty exciting.

We have this friend, Krista, who is preparing to be baptized pretty soon. She has been going to church for like a year and a half with her boyfriend somewhere else, and she just knows everything and always goes to church. And we asked her, "What's holding you back from being a member of the church?"

She said, "Actually, nothing."

So, that's pretty exciting. I've only met her over the phone because she's been out of town, but it's pretty cool. The gospel just changes people's lives. It's really cool to witness.

I get to serve on the campus again-- Eastern Washington University with the Inferno field. Pretty cool. It's been a whirlwind of changes, but I'm really happy with how it all came out. And honestly, I just get to get to serve, and that's the best part.

I gave a talk on Sunday with about 12 hours notice-- the night before at 10 pm., "Uh, hey, Elders, can you give a talk?" So we did, and I talked about changing our natures and how we receive access to change our natures through Jesus Christ. And I've been thinking about that and how there's really nothing holding us back from connecting with him. All it is is ourselves. And so I've been thinking about what I'm doing to hold myself back from that connection, that relationship. And it's been pretty cool to see and change and shoot for higher visions. And I love it. I love being a missionary. Let me know what your favorite part of your life is right now!
