Wow! It has been a while. Sorry, everyone. I've just been so caught up in the work of the Lord. So exciting! There have been. . . I can't remember the last time I wrote, but there have been some really cool things that have been happening. We have just been uniting with the members as much as we can. And just trying our best. There's a line in Preach My Gospel-- it's my favorite-- and it says, "Your efforts will be magnified to the degree that you work in unity with local leaders and members." And so we've been trying to make that degree really high so we can have our efforts magnified a lot, so we can be the best servants that we can, and it has been really cool. We've found some pretty cool people through members and been teaching them. They're all doing really well, except for this last week. Some of them had some really hard experiences just in their personal lives that have really been difficult, like one of them, their health has really been struggling, and another, they might be filing for divorce. So pretty tough times. But, you know, God is looking over them and strengthening them and helping them out, and they're actually pushing through pretty well, which is crazy.
We've been waiting for permission for this kid, he's 12, for his dad to give permission for him to be baptized. His mom was baptized about a month, or month and a half ago. She's awesome-- she is so converted. And he is also so converted. In the month and a half that we've been teaching him, he has read up to Alma in the Book of Mormon, and he's literally 12. It's crazy. And so he finally got permission, so we're super excited to start teaching him and helping him out.
There have been some pretty cool miracles. One thing we help out with is the technology in the mission and with Facebook, and we are starting to do some reels, and it is really exciting. We posted one reel like maybe two weeks ago, and it wasn't even that good of a reel, but it got to like 13, 000 views, which is nuts. It is so exciting. So we are kicking that into full speed. We're assigning missionaries to be on the content team. They'll spend 30 minutes a week just recording videos, whether they're ads or reels, and it's going to be awesome. We'll have a production team and we'll have a great camera and microphones, and software to edit them and get those rolling. And hopefully find a lot more people to teach. It should be pretty cool.
I'm doing really well, personally, I. have been really focusing on what really matters in my relationship with God. I've been reflecting a lot recently about where I've come from in my mission and where I'm going. On my whiteboard in the office, I have one question. It says, "Who do you want to become?" And that is a very powerful question, and it guides me and helps me to remember what's most important because I want to become like Jesus Christ, and I want to become like all of his attributes. And that question helps me to stay focused on those. I love it. It's pretty powerful. And I would encourage you all to think about-- who do you want to become? And what are you doing to get there?
